Matt Gilbert Joins Baker Tilly to Enhance its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Capabilities for Department of Defense Contractors
WASHINGTON (August 26, 2020) – Matt Gilbert has joined leading advisory, tax and assurance firm Baker Tilly US, LLP (Baker Tilly) as a principal in the firm’s Washington office. In this role, Gilbert will lead Baker Tilly’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and government contractor IT risk services.

Gilbert specializes in IT audits, cybersecurity and technology risk assessments for organizations of all sizes, from large prime contractors to smaller 8A firms. His expertise includes NIST 800-171 and 800-53 related assessments, internal auditing, SOX compliance, information technology controls, business process controls, and ERP risk and controls. He is actively engaged in supporting federal contractors and grant recipients as they navigate the CMMC requirements. He joins the firm’s multi-disciplinary Government Contractor Solutions team that provides comprehensive advisory, compliance and accounting services to leading companies and organizations who partner with the federal government. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Gilbert led the internal audit team for a large prime aerospace and defense firm and large technology services firm.
