More specifically, an organization who could provide advisory services and scale their support based on the client’s business growth.
As a technology start-up, the client had yet to establish standardized business processes associated with their accounting, payroll and HR functions, which created inconsistencies and inefficiencies. They also required an accounts payable solution for a virtual office, which was not yet deployed. All of the above required time and attention from various stakeholders within their team, pulling them away from other responsibilities. Being in the early stages of the business, executives recognized the need for additional resources and knowledge on various functions and business processes.
Once selected, Baker Tilly worked with the client to prioritize process definition and implementation of a new financial management solution, Sage Intacct, a forerunner in bringing cloud computing to finance and accounting for small and medium-sized businesses. Our initial focus was on defining standardized business processes across accounting, payroll and HR while providing the necessary requirements to successfully design, build, test and deploy the new solution.
