Baker Tilly Capital, LLC provided mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory and project finance solutions to a variety of clients throughout 2016. Working closely with clients throughout the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, transportation, financial and professional services, real estate, retail and food and beverage industries, our specialized investment bankers were successful in cultivating relationships into successful transactions for our clients.

In 2016 our mergers and acquisition team advised clients on more than 20 engagements and entered 2017 with more than 10 transactions at various stages of the marketing process.

Our project finance team was very active, closing 12 negotiated Incentives deals representing $252 million in total project costs, securing more than $39 million in state and local government incentives for our clients and 59 New Markets Tax Credit deals representing $528 million in allocations into projects that enhance low-income communities. These deals resulted in a net benefit of approximately $119 million in New Markets Tax Credit equity to our clients’ projects.
