Tim is a managing director with Baker Tilly with more than 25 years of experience advising a variety of clients in the life sciences industry including brand, generic drug and medical device manufacturers. Tim has led and participated in panels of experts on a variety of regulatory, compliance and operational challenges at major life science industry conferences (e.g., organized by IIR, CBI, ACI, various trade organizations, webinars and training courses).

Tim’s responsibilities include performing and overseeing the execution of consulting and managed service projects, developing and maintaining client relationships and growing the practice through high quality successful client engagements. Prior to Baker Tilly, Tim held leadership and client service positions in two Big Four accounting firms, publicly traded consulting firms and technology companies. His assistance typically includes a cross functional problem solving approach that has been established through in-depth, regulatory, compliance and operational experience that has met or exceeded client expectations with realistic and executable solutions.

  • Revenue forecasting, cost analysis and gross to net assistance – Develops and monitors pre- and post-launch cost analysis regarding product pricing, supply channel market strategy, competitive environment and overall sales forecasting models. Implements industry better practices related to policies, practices and procedures for financial reporting revenue forecasting, accrual management and gross to net reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
  • Finance transformation and business process change management – Provides project management, planning, subject matter guidance and other tactical support around various types of change management, policy and SOP development and remediation activities related to all aspects of the revenue management function. This includes providing assistance with assessing and selecting automated solutions to enhance the negotiation, execution, administration and management reporting of commercial and government contracts.
  • Commercial contracting assessments – Develops and implements life science commercial contract compliance programs (including performing customer contract audits) designed to assess pre/post-contractual performance and compliance. Vendor contracting includes wholesaler and specialty distributors, managed care (including Medicare Part D, specialty pharmacies, GPOs, PBMs and hospitals).
  • Government contracting and reporting services – Assists life science industry in all aspects of government contracting and price reporting required to participate in Medicare (Part B and Part D), Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, Public Health Services (340B programs), federal supply schedule, state reporting requirements and other government agency programs. This includes developing, implementing and assessing policies and current practice designed to address gaps and technology solutions in both the short and long term.
