Himanshu is a director with Baker Tilly’s risk advisory practice. Focused primarily within the financial services industry, Himanshu’s background includes his current role serving in the risk advisory practice, as well as years spent in the external financial statement audit practice. Himanshu provides a variety of services, including system and organization controls (SOC) reports, financial and IT risk assessments and related audits, internal auditing, enterprise risk management and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for public companies.
- Oversees planning, executing and client management for a wide variety of consulting engagements
- Leads engagements with Baker Tilly’s Risk Advisory consulting team to provide IT-audit related services, including IT risk assessments and SOC reporting
- Provides audit, review, SOX and agreed-upon procedures to depository and lending institutions, ranging from community banks to banks with greater than $5 billion in assets
- Utilizes risk-based approach on initial SOX and FDICIA engagements to help develop control environment for depository and lending institutions
- Manages multiple engagements and staff to ensure continuous progression of workflow
- Audits client information to help opine on financial statements under U.S. GAAP reporting guidelines
