Eddy is managing director of Baker Tilly’s New York healthcare and not-for-profit practice. He has nearly 15 years of public accounting and auditing experience focused primarily on for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare providers. Eddy’s experience includes audits of healthcare systems, investor-owned healthcare companies, CCRCs, higher education institutions, not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. His responsibilities include the management, facilitation, oversight and review of daily audit fieldwork and client financial statement preparation and review. He also provides audit and accounting guidance to Baker Tilly’s healthcare practice and the New York metro region through his technical roles at the firm.
- Manages numerous audits of healthcare systems, private equity and investor-owned healthcare companies, CCRCs, colleges and universities, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans
- Serves as a Local Assurance Leader within Baker Tilly’s Professional Practice Group for the New York metro region.
- Provides guidance on complex accounting transactions including business combinations, stock-based compensation, variable interest entities, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, and bond and debt refinancing, among others
- Offers insight on accounting policies and procedures to improve the operation of the accounting function and strengthen client internal controls
- Served a three-year term as the chair of the technical accounting committee for Baker Tilly’s healthcare practice
- Co-chair of the New York NexGen Committee, part of Baker Tilly’s Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging for Success (DIBS)
